Tea Party concert  0

Posted on December 3rd, 2004. About Rambling.

Yes, it is finally the 3rd of December and results have been posted. I got an A and a B (much to my surprise) and shall be celebrating in full force tonight – by going shopping in the city and indulging my Lush-products addiction. Lol! Yes, Hello…my name is Kathy, and I am a lush-aholic and an ebay-aholic… I have issues – I know this. I just feel so relieved that I have a bit of time between now and the next subject in Feb/Mar next year. It does make me feel a little slack though.

On Wednesday night (1st December) we went to the Tea Party concert at the Convention centre. They were supported by NZ band Evermore. Nath bought their cd and I must admit that it sounds much better than they did live – only because I couldn’t understand what they were singing about. I think concerts are best for people when they know the words to the songs and want to hear a version that is larger than life. That deep drumming beat coursing through your chest, where you just want to sway along to the music and become a part of it. I wish I knew more of the Tea Party before the concert, but I guess I will be making up for it now. Very cool stuff! There were major dramas getting there though. I originally bought the tickets from ebay, but incorrectly entered in the bank account details. The seller didn’t get payment in time so she contacted me. I sent through the payment again, and they sent the tickets through express post… it didn’t work out being quite as express as planned since it was sent on Monday and arrived at work on Friday arvo. Not Happy Jan! Anyway, we sorted it all out in the end, and I guess it was worth it. Lemme listen to some more of their albums and I will tell you. The lead singer was an amazing musician though – something I always have heaps of time for!
