Hello again 0
Happy Easter!
I have spent the holidays trying to prepare to do some study. We have bought bookshelves (so I can put my study stuff somewhere nice and tidy), rearranged my desk and have forgone tv/movie watching in an effort towards this holy grail of mine. Study. But alas, alack, this is not (quite) to be. My textbook (Business Data Communications and Networking) is sitting open on my desk in front of me (right next to my current alcoholic beverage of choice – Frangelico and Lime) but the words… they mean nothing to me! My vision slips past them like a droplet of water off a piece of KFC hot and spicy chicken – no wings!
Anyway, quick catch up… I have been to Rarotonga twice more this year in the lead up to our first flight there. And all 3 times, I have missed out on the free flights to Aitutaki due to time constraints of work etc. Doh! The last time we were at RAR was brilliant though cause the local guys put on a beach bbq for us and we were there eating, drinking and even attempting to dance the local dances. For the guys, that meant wobbling their knees sideways. For the girls, it was swinging hips from side to side. I’m sure we butchered their usually graceful local dance but it was fun (2 beers later…)
Heidi and Jase were up for Easter as well since Heidi was here doing the rest of her work placement. Only a few more days and she will be ready to apply to become a legal practitioner, or whatever they call it these days. Time to bring our her book!
I might try another attempt at that study thing now.
