At the end of this week I will be heading to India for 2 weeks to perform some system testing and configuration. I shall be heading to a place called Trivandrum which is located at the southern tip of India. It’s supposed to be kinda beach-y with lots of coconut palms. We will be staying at a resort over there so I will be sure to try out some of the local spa therapies!!! I have also found out that while there is no fast food giant present in the area (a usual sign of how pervasive western culture can be), there is a Baskin Robbins on-site at the office there, which has local flavours as well.
A quick look on the net shows the top 10 things to do in Trivandrum (also known as Thiruvananthapuram), shows that the area is known for its beaches, temples and backwaters
So I am currently packing summer clothes (same temp as Brisbane but higher humidity!), lots of medical supplies (Imodium, electrolyte rebalancers, Anti-malaria tablets) and stuff to do… I guess uni textbooks should be in there somewhere!
