Just a quick catch-up here… Heidi (little sister) and I went to our first Bridal Expo at Brisbane City hall a couple of weeks ago. It wasn’t as big as I thought it would be but it was a good starting point for local ideas for venues, invitations etc. The whole wedding marketing is just ridiculous though. You pay exorbitant prices for magazines which are full of glossy advertising anyway. Then you go to a Bridal expo and pay an entrance fee, half of which is for payment of the ‘free’ magazine that you get upon entry. Anyway, there are lots of ideas flying around at the moment for me but nothing definite. I think we will need to do some more research (and for me to read some of the magazines that Heidi has left at our place!).
On another note, Nath and I have been house hunting lately and we are pretty sure we have found a place that we really like in Kuraby. Nothing definite as yet, but I will keep everyone posted. It will be nice to not have people live on the floor above us!
