Introducing… Kira! 0
Time for a puppy update! Well… little Kira Munchkin Fizzgig (aka Kira) is now 18 weeks old, and is still being potty trained, still being told not to bite, and still loves shoes!! Since installing a dog door into one of our doors, she has learnt to go outside all on her own – reducing the number of accidents occuring in the house by a lot. We still get the occasional incident but it is a great improvement and I think the carpet in the lounge is almost getting back to normal!
We have been taking her to puppy class to get her accustomed to other dogs and to learn a bit about her behaviour too. We found out that she is a little worrier who wants to play with the other dogs but has been too scared to until recently. The puppy school also does Bush Flower essences and it was amazing to watch how she changed after taking some drops during class. Suddenly she was showing an interest in other puppies and even started playing with one of them! We will definitely be meeting that ‘family’ again to see if it happens again 
As a result of puppy class, Kira can now ’sit’, ‘lie down’, and almost ‘rub belly’ (hers of course!!), on command.. and only if there are no other distractions, and usually if there is food available as a bribe! We have to learn a trick to teach her by this weekend to show to the class. I’m still unsure what to try. I would love to do a jumping hoop thing, but I don’t have any hoola hoops around. Back to the drawing board!
When we first got her, she was 2.2kg with straight hair. Now she is 4kg and I can see that some of the hair on her side is starting to get a little curly. She has been looking more like a cocker spaniel than a poodle so I’m wondering if it is the poodle attributes starting to come out. Either way, she’s still such a cutie and we love her heaps
