Congratulations Mr and Mrs Bird!! 0
Time for another update! I spent a few days in Kuala Lumpur recently, for work. I didn’t get a chance to look around too much but I was able to experience business class with Malaysian for the first time. I was quite obviously the newbie as I tested out the many positions of the seat, managing to get my noise-cancelling headphones tangled up each time so I would have to try to extricate the cable carefully since they are actually Nath’s headphones that I bought for him as a present…
… so now I am kinda dreading the next time I travel long-haul in economy since I will _know_ what it is like further up the front of the plane!!
Then, on a beautiful Fijian day, my little sister married her fiance of many years, Jason, in a gorgeous chapel at the Shangri-La Fijian Resort. Close family and friends were in attendance to capture this special moment. I have yet to watch the video but I hope it didn’t capture me trying desperately not to cry while being the only bridesmaid! There’s just something about wedding ceremonies that sets me off, and this wedding was made even more emotional for me because it was my little sister
I am so happy for Heidi and Jason, and I wish them much happiness!!! For those interested, I have posted some photos here .
I was good to get home though because we were all worried about how Kira was faring while staying with some good friends. We needn’t have bothered though – I think she had a little holiday while we were away too! She is certainly more confident now, and we think she’s even grown a little bigger. While the potty training is going well generally, she has started peeing on the bed… somehow she gets grass, carpet and doonas all confused… But she’s still a puppy – going on 6 months soon. We are thinking about getting another one to keep her company but we might wait a few months yet. We have to make sure we find the right one! Unsure of the breed at this stage though.
Nath and I have taken to playing our Nintendo DS’ again recently… Mario Kart has never been so much fun!! Puzzle quest is still a favourite though. On another geeky-ish note, I have found out that a new Singstar is going to be released in the next few months – Singstar 90’s. I can’t wait!!! I think the neighbours can though
