Quick geeky update… finally bought an LCD to attach to my laptop so I can have dual screens. Decided on an Asus VW192T 19″ widescreen. It looks awesome with a digitalblasphemy background and I can even ignore the Asus splashscreen that displays every time it is turned on. I did find that the laptop had trouble displaying the secondary screen as widescreen and had a tendency to skew everything. Installed PowerStrip and all is now fixed. The monitor also has a built in speaker – nothing fancy, but I am happy to plug my zen mp3 player into it so it doesn’t have to run through windows.
Also bought Super paper Mario for the Wii. It is one of the best games I have ever played, even in the super mario world. The gameplay is just magic with the movement between the 2D and 3D platforms, mixed with the RPG stats and feel of the game. Nintendo – you guys are super-awesome!!!
On the PS2 front, Singstar Rock Ballads came out this past week. I think this is another almost-winner – a mix of good classic rock ballads and some ‘what the’s as well. Have only gone through it once so far but will have to give the Roxette ones another chance I think!
