Wedding update 0
Time for another update. For once John M is beating me at the blog updates!! Can’t let that happen 
Anyway, latest wedding updates are:
- I think I’ve found a dress style I like, but it’s in Canberra.. so I’ll be heading down there later on next month to check it out and see how it looks on me! Hint: It’s not white 
- We found an awesome caterer in our area. We went to speak to them yesterday and sampled some of their food. Really good attitude and the food was brilliant.
- Equipment hire is still a grey area but at least the marquee is booked
- No idea on invites yet. Nath and I seem to have very different ideas as to the whole stationery side of things
- Not sure about music yet… Live or by laptop/mp3
- I think I have found a hairstylist/make up person round the corner from our place but we need to do a trial first… but can’t do that until we find THE dress
- Have started looking at vows out there and will be working with Jo on adding some really cool elements to this
- Due to an amazing Jetstar sale, we have booked flights to Osaka for our honeymoon. Now I had originally said that I would like to fly anyone but Jetstar (after all, it is our honeymoon) but with prices cut in half (compared to the usual suspects), it was hard to say no. I just keep telling myself that it just means more spending money once we hit Akihabara and/or Den Den town. However, I have pre-booked my food/movie system/blanket, and will plan to bring on many snacky treats to try and dull the pain of long haul on a low cost carrier. Shame about the lack of power points in economy (Yay for Virgin America for getting it right!). No set plan on the honeymoon just yet although we want to make sure we visit Kyoto, Hiroshima and Tokyo mainly. A bit of touring near Mt Fuji and Hijemi too. Our ‘must do’ is to go visit Hiroyuki Sakai’s restaurant La Rochelle (Shibuya), Iron Chef French!!! We also want to try staying at a Ryokan somewhere, sometime. More research required!
