Japan trip planning  0

Posted on November 3rd, 2007. About Travels.

Well we have finally come up with a really rough plan for our honemoon. We’ve decided to check out Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Hakone and Tokyo, with the obligatory visit to Mt Fuji (minus the early morning climb). Now it’s just finding some suitable accommodation that will allow us to have some Akihabara spending money without having to eat ramen for every meal. We definitely want to stay in a nice ryokan around the Hakone area so if anyone has any recommendations, please let us know!

Introducing Gizmo!  0

We have had such a busy week this past week, mostly due to a new addition to our family, a gorgeous 9 week old King Charles cavalier spaniel who we have called Gizmo. Name is derived from the Gremlins movie since he looks a little Mogwai – although we will be sure not to feed him after midnight – especially after the amount he has been pooping lately! Photos can be seen here. So currently working on potty training the little boy, and making sure that Kira and him will play nice together.

No wedding update… next step at the moment is to check out a dress in CBR (I love saying that!), and we might go to see some wedding decorator people on the weekend – something I was seriously against from the beginning.. however once I started to do investigations, I realised that I really don’t want to be thinking about tablecloths and chair covers the day before the wedding!! Anyway, nothing is set in concrete so it might just be garden chairs on the day with no embellishments – let the gardens do the ‘decorating’ :)

In other news, I have decided to give the Tony Ferguson meal plan (read: DIET) a go. This is the semi meal-replacement diet thing run through the Terry White chemists. Now I am totally against these as a matter of principle cause I don’t think it teaches people how to eat properly however I was not pushing myself enough at the gym (or modifying my diet enough) to be able to see any results. I have been on it for 5 days now and I must say that I already feel a difference! I have more energy and don’t really get hungry that much. The diet has made me use more veggies in my diet so that’s gotta be a good thing. I think I have lost some weight already but I will wait until a full week before weighing myself properly (at the chemist). Makes me wonder if I am a little bit gluten-intolerant though. I don’t know how long I can do this for, but I am going to give it a good shot mainly for my health. The fact that our wedding is coming up might help a little too – even though I’m usually against pre-wedding diets too for the fact that if you didn’t diet before, why are you doing it for one day? I admit, it is a special day, but you are (hopefully) getting married because you love each other just as you are – not for the promise of a smaller you :) Anyway, next week I hope to up the exercise factor into the mix as well to try and balance my lifestyle out after all those hours sitting in front of a computer. Well, except for when it’s Gizmo’s potty time ;)
