39 days to go 0
Too late to start planning elaborate weight-loss schemes (especially so soon after Easter!)…39 days to go… I am going for a first and last dress fitting this weekend, so any expected weight loss (and increase in fitness) would be gradual and healthy, and most of all – manageable and maintainable
I have just been to my first Body Pump class in about 7 years or so. I’ve been inspired after reading Dietgirl’s blog, and have finally gotten her book in the mail late last week. I really enjoyed the class as well – the slow burn.. the ability to up or lower the intensity yourself, and not passing out, were all good points. I did have a great amount of difficulty walking down the steps after the class. I had to hold onto any railing I could find for the next 15 minutes or so but I felt good after having done it. I can’t wait to go back for my next class… although that could all change in the morning when my muscles have something else to say about that!
Hmm.. what else? I’ve found some flowers that I am happy with but I will wait and see how they turn out. I’ve decided to use silk flowers instead since that will mean I can keep them afterwards, and I won’t have to worry about accidentally sitting on them or anything like that (cause these things always seem to happen to me!)
Currently Nath and I are working on our Japan itinerary so as to best optimise our transport while we are there. I can’t wait till we go! Even though we have just had the Easter break, I still really need a holiday – although I can’t decide if I will love or hate net access… after all, I did get a 3G phone recently, and I can’t help but check emails from bed now (naughty, naughty!)
Last weekend I went to the Rocklea markets for the first time in ages. I think it was the Farmer’s markets with all the lovely fruit and vegie stalls, as well as the gourmet foods. I had so much fun! I stocked up on cheese kransky and leberkase from the German guy, some garlic and chives feta from a cheese lady, and I stocked up well and good with Alchemy coffee/chai cordials. Yum! Actually, the Alchemy stuff was one of the main reasons I was there (and to visit my dad of course!). We have not been able to get the coffee cordials anywhere via retail. I think a couple of health food stores still stock the caramel syrup sometimes though. A friend of the family’s runs a gluten free bakery stall at the markets too (www.zehnder.com.au). Awesome sour cherry tarts and choc chip cookies. The bread is unlike any other gluten free bread I have had before – and it toasts really well too! Anyway, I hope to get a few trays of tarts for the wedding – it’s a good excuse
