Last night we went out with some good friends to Kingsleys for dinner, before finally watching ‘Zack and Miri’. Yep, Kevin Smith has still got it!

Our friend John had been raving about the steaks at Kingleys for ages, so it was good to finally try them (being the steak-loving people we are). I tried their rib fillet, medium rare. Very nice! Might have to go back there some other time to try their snow crab.

Being rather glad it was finally the weekend, we started off the day with a lovely brekkie at Cafe di Luna (Sunnybank) before going to get our Egyptian papyrus picture framed. I’m planning to think of it as our first artistic investment cause overall it has worked out to be quite expensive!

Later in the day, we spent some time with the dogs, out and about in Kuraby.

Hi all,

Well, we are now back home, safe and sound, and luckily swine-flu-less (after our unofficial 7 day monitoring!), but with some awesome memories, 17GB of pics, 6kg of books and some great new friends!

The short summary – we spent 2 weeks in Egypt on an Intrepid tour (Egypt Experience, Comfort-level), overnight-ed in Abu Dhabi, stayed in Singapore long enough to visit at least one food court and eat decent chilli crab, and then a week and a half in Malaysia (KL and Langkawi) exploring and lazing by the beach. Needless to say, after spending 4 weeks away we were overjoyed to see our lil dogs again (as well as our washing machine, our bed and clothes other than the ones we had carried with us).

I have uploaded some of the Egypt pics to Facebook (links below), with the plan to blog about our experiences at a later date. Considering I still haven’t gotten around to organising our wedding pics as yet, you should probably expect to see the updated trip info in about a years time! Hehe. If you are lucky, there might even be video…
